Velocity Conference Announces New Dates

Today we are announcing the rescheduling of our Velocity: the My Private Brand conference from May 11-13 to August 3-5, 2020. Following the increased and overwhelming concerns about the COVID-19 virus global pandemic, we felt this was the best way to proceed during such an unprecedented situation. The health and safety of our speakers, sponsors, attendees, and staff are of the utmost importance. National and local health authorities have determined that social distancing reduces the risk of spreading or contracting this virus.

SPEAKERS
The venue and the schedule have not changed, and all of our confirmed speakers are still on board.  The new dates will open the opportunity for a couple of exciting new speakers. Watch for announcements in the coming weeks.

MARCH 5, 2020

We are committed to ensuring you have both a great and safe experience at the Velocity Conference. The conference will take place as planned on May 11-13 in Charlotte, NC.

My Private Brand and the Velocity Conference are working closely daily with the venue, government, and health officials to plan for a safe event. As a result of this dialogue, the 2020 event is proceeding with safety as a top priority. We will continue to evaluate as the conference approaches.

In preparation for the event, we are taking all necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of our attendees in the wake of the coronavirus (COVID-19). To help prevent the spread of illness, extra sanitation measures will take place throughout the conference, including:

  • Each participant will receive an individual hand sanitizer.
  • Additional hand sanitizer stations
  • The use of disinfectant sprays in high-traffic areas
  • More frequent wipe downs of the session rooms and common touch areas, including doorknobs, microphones, escalator rails, and bathrooms

We also ask that attendees practice basic protective measures against respiratory illnesses, including:

  • Refraining from handshakes (greet with a smile or elbow bump instead!)
  • Washing your hands frequently and thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol
  • Staying in your hotel or at home when sick

You can view the full list of guidelines from the World Health Organization here.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as necessary.
