Jack Pestello is the Senior Vice President of Private Brands for Walmart U.S., delivering the company’s Private Brand strategy across health and wellness, food and consumables. For the past four years, Jack has led the charge on elevating and transforming brands such as Great Value, Marketside and Equate to deliver quality and innovative items customers love and trust.
Jack also oversees manufacturing operations for the retailer. In 2018, Walmart opened one of the largest milk manufacturing facilities in the country, representing the company’s first foray into food processing in the U.S.
With more than 25 years of retail experience in merchandising, sourcing, product & brand development and business leadership, Jack is a life-long merchant. Prior to his current role, he served as Vice President, Private Brands and Supplier Development for Walmart International. In this role, he developed a transformational strategy and execution framework to lead fourteen international market teams in operating their individual Private Brand programs.
Before joining Walmart 6 years ago, Jack spent 20 years with Daymon Worldwide, leading change with dozens of retailers and hundreds of manufacturers around the world. He also served as Head of Trade at Woolworths Limited in Sydney, Australia, where he was responsible for leading grocery and new category strategy.
Jack holds a Juris Doctorate in International Corporate Law from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Fort Lewis College.
